Surgery to change eye color

In the next several months, a new procedure will be available that can permanently change brown eyes to blue.

Dr Gregg Homer, based in California, has developed the procedure dubbed “Lumineyes”. The laser surgery takes barely a minute and removes the brown pigment, melanin, from the upper layer of the iris. Within two weeks, the eyes will be a lovely hue of blue.

This permanent result comes with a hefty price tag and, as most surgeries do, some risk. The surgery will be widely available within the next 3 years at a cost of about $5000.…
